Law & Emerging Technologies
Law & Emerging Technologies is a research theme that brings together legal scholars and teachers working with law and emerging technologies
History is full of examples of emerging technologies' tremendous influence over law and society. Such influential technologies include railroads, cars, computers, and genetic technology, to name a few recent examples. New technologies emerge every day, with new opportunities and challenges from a legal perspective: The emergence of new legal problems and opportunities, and old legal problems come in a new light through emerging technologies. This meeting between law and emerging technologies often represent the forefront of legal development, and allows us to put the finger on many interesting legal questions, principles, policies and themes — with relevance beyond emerging technologies.
Law & Emerging Technologies is a research theme that brings together legal scholars and teachers working with law and emerging technologies, such as information technology and the rise of the digital community.
